Waltham Singers Haydn Creation November 2023
It was a packed Cathedral that enjoyed this splendid concert. The vivacious playing of the Salomon Orchestra perfectly complemented the soaring voices of the choir and soloists. Whilst the audience comprised many old friends of the choir, it was a joy to welcome those who had not heard us before, all of whom were very complimentary about the high standard of music they had enjoyed.
Singers: We normally have vacancies in all voice parts. Rehearsals are from 8 pm to 10 pm on Thursday nights during school terms at St Cedd's School, New London Road, Chelmsford CM2 0AR, car park in Upper Bridge Street, or free parking on New London Road. There are no auditions, but we set ourselves high standards and relish the challenge of performing a wide range of choral music.
Subs: Our performing year runs from September to June, and the subscription for the 2023/2024 season is £170, (payable in September or, alternatively payable in two instalments of £85 payable in September and January). Students under 25 years, please enquire about our special rate.
Audience: Waltham Singers gives three or four concerts each year and details of forthcoming concerts are shown in the Calendar of Events. If you would like tickets or further information please contact us.
